I can't believe we are in our last week of January. Time is flying! I enjoyed seeing some of the kiddos dressing up for the 100th day of school. They were pretty hilarious!
We had our Tiger Pride assembly Friday so I wanted to recognize those students who won awards.
Terrific Tiger award winners: Violet Kirkpatrick and MaKayla Chism
Academic award winners: Tyler Woodham and Maddox Cagle (math) and Shawn Taber (science)
Bucket Drop award winners (positive attitudes): Hunter Kelley and Hudson Reasoner
There are not too many things going on this week that you need to be aware of. Your child's Topic 7 test over factors and multiples will be coming home tomorrow. This was an assessment that we were able give the students flexibly, so I told them if they have a question on any of them I would help them through it, unlike most of our assessments. So, in theory, they should have all done really well. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask!
We are getting a practicum student from Evangel! She starts tomorrow and will be coming into our class to learn and work with us during math time. I am excited about this because we are starting fractions this week and we all know an extra hand during that time is a blessing! Our Valentine's Day party is coming up on Tuesday the 14th so more information and needed supplies about that will come soon :)
